The Awakening of Craftsmanship – Starting from a Tiny Mold

Pan Zongbing was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. At the age of 16, he stepped into the world of mold making. "Molds are the mother of industry" - this was the simplest truth he came to understand in his early years. After mastering mold making, he turned his attention to mechanical engineering, and then to electronic technology. With remarkable learning ability and a deep obsession with technology, he gradually became a multidisciplinary technical expert spanning molds, machinery, and electronics. This full-chain knowledge system - from fundamental processes to system integration - became the solid foundation that later allowed him to boldly venture into the cross-field of hyperbaric oxygen chambers.

In 2007, Pan Zongbing founded Shanghai Baobang Medical Instrument Co., Ltd. in Shanghai. He has always adhered to one conviction: pressure vessels must be safe and must strictly comply with international certification requirements. Safety and compliance are embedded in every stage of production.

In product research and development, he led and promoted the construction of a complete product matrix. On the technological innovation front, he guided the company to accumulate over 100 core technology patents and established deep collaboration with universities such as Shanghai University and Donghua University, building an industry-university-research integration system. He obtained the first invention patent for hyperbaric oxygen chamber products, filling the gap in the domestic and international household hyperbaric oxygen chamber niche.

Under Pan Zongbing's leadership, Baobang Medical has become the absolute leader in the civil hyperbaric oxygen chamber industry. The company has been recognized as a Shanghai High-Tech Enterprise and a Shanghai "Specialized, Refined, Distinctive and Innovative" Enterprise, among other honors. Its products are exported to more than 125 countries and regions, with a market share of 35%. These products not only serve ordinary consumers but also provided professional physical recovery support for the Chinese Olympic delegation, the Chinese national basketball team, and others at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

As an outstanding representative of Ningbo-born entrepreneurs, Pan Zongbing has always cared deeply about his hometown. He serves as the Vice President of the Shanghai Ninghai Chamber of Commerce and actively participates in the Tongxin Think Tank, contributing to the introduction of talent and expertise for his hometown. At the same time, he leads the company in actively engaging in public welfare initiatives, donating hyperbaric oxygen chamber equipment to plateau regions such as Dingri County, Tibet, giving back to society through concrete actions.
